VMworld Activities

Super excited to be going to VMworld this year as a member of the @solidfire team! This will be our first VMworld and we are going big. Aaron Delp has the breakdown on most of SolidFire’s activities at VMworld here In addition to those events, I will be co-presenting with Keith Norbie (@keith.norbie) at Thursday 8/28 at 2:00 for the #vBrownBag Tech Talk: VMware Horizon at Scale – Solving for Storage as well as giving a theater presentation “Don’t believe the hype, you don’t need dedicated storage for VDI” in Citrix’s booth (1940) on Monday at 2PM PST. Also check out Keith’s post on what to see at VMworld here Personally, I’m looking forward to getting more details on the CloudVolumes acquisition and how VMware sees that playing into their Horizon offerings. Seems like the pendulum is swinging away from state-full desktops to stateless desktops at VMware. I’m super happy to see that progression. Also be looking for more details on vVols. SolidFire brings even more value to the virtual desktop space when pared with vVols. Watch this space fore more news on that in the coming months. Time to get this party started! I’ll be attending vBeers tonight, come on by and say hello! Don’t forget to participate. Check out all the events going on at VMworld. ~JediMT
